My Visual Journal of July 25th, 2024.
We went to buy food for the 8-hour train ride tomorrow. Hamer was excited all day.
The date and time issues were finally resolved today, just before the office birthday party. After that, we had a badminton session and played for a full two hours. It feels good.
Hamer packed her suitcase by herself last night for her trip tomorrow.
I woke up early this morning, checked the posts, searched for, and subscribed to some podcasts about GIS on Overcast. It’s still drizzling outside.
Hamer is creating something special while Xiaoyan is learning English.
My first picture journal was about July 24th, 2024.
This is my voice journal for July 24th, 2024. There are two parts: the first part is reading today’s posts on micro.blog, and the second part is reading a story from July 24th.
The storm finally arrived. I was completely soaked by the time I got home.
I found a good way to put my badge on the waist of my trousers. I think it looks good.
I was so surprised to see Hamer use her hand to tap the brush and splash some colorful water on the painting. Brilliant!
Hamer is painting; she is so focused and creative.
Painting for mom and auntie.
This morning I was too sleepy to get up. I went to bed too late last night and missed my usual afternoon nap, which made me tired. Today is still muggy and hot, and I didn’t want to stay outside for another minute in the morning. But after lunch, I hung out with coworkers for a while. After a long nap, I felt full of energy.
Hamer peed in bed last night, and her grandma kept talking about it as if she should be punished. She said things like, “How can you get a kiss from mom after peeing in bed last night?” I felt annoyed and impatient listening to this, so I made a sound and said, “Why are you always talking about that?” Her grandma replied, “Can’t I say something? I just want to make a joke.” I felt bad afterward.
Hamer painted a lot last night. She was tired but still creative, using her imagination to paint a beautiful sky. She used a piece of paper, applied several layers of adhesive tape, and then painted it with color markers.
I had a busy morning with two weekly meetings. I tried to refactor code related to geocoding and window position. I also went to the bank to fill out a form to apply for part of the prepayment. Now, I am feeling very hungry.
Every time I get notified about LinkedIn posts, I feel inspired by others and want to showcase something of mine, but it seems I currently have nothing suitable to share.
Hamer drew three pictures tonight while Xiaoyan studied English online. The last two are paired: the colorful one was drawn tonight to compare with the outline one.
Tonight, I played frisbee again for one and a half hours. I sweated a lot, but it feels great.
It was so hot and muggy outside last night. This morning, we can see water on the ground.
Hamer’s best friend’s family treated us to lunch yesterday. The mutton was so delicious.
After Hamer’s dance class, we went to play cards with friends, had dinner and fruits, and watched comedy shows. We started heading back at 12 a.m., all of us tired and sleepy. What a busy day.
While waiting for Hamer’s dance class to finish, I wrote some reviews for the restaurants I’ve been to, using ChatGPT to help me.
I tried an ice bath today. My feet felt so painful the first time I stepped into the ice bath, and the pain kept increasing until it was unbearable. The first time, I stayed in the bath for 45 seconds, the second time for 10 seconds, and the last time for 2 minutes.
