Yesterday and today, Xiaoyan discussed with Hamer the idea of buying a kid’s flying-alone ticket for her because she wants to come back earlier. Tonight, Hamer thought about it and told us she wants to do that, even though it means she won’t be able to buy more toys.

I felt good after the frisbee match. Before that, I had dinner cooked by my sister again.

Hamer called me before dinner, and I saw tears in her eyes. Grandma told me that she cried while singing an interesting song she created about missing and loving me. After checking the recordings she sent me, I was amazed at how she could sing so many words.

Hamer called this morning, excited to tell me that one of her teeth was loose and was going to fall out.

On Saturday, Xiaoyan and I watched a movie, had dinner outside, hung out at the mall, and enjoyed a drink at the bar while watching the women’s gold medal table tennis match. Hamer was having dinner with her grandfather; it had been four years since her last visit to his place.

Last Sunday was great, even though we stayed at home almost all day. We got up near noon and cleaned the house in the afternoon. Then, Xiaoyan’s little sister came over and cooked dinner for us. At night, we watched a thrilling and fabulous men’s gold medal table tennis match.

Xiaoyan and I had a very cheap but delicious dinner that included five dishes.

Hamer called me several times today, telling me she missed me very much. In the afternoon, she called me again just minutes after we ended the previous call. When I called her back, I saw lots of big tears coming from her eyes.

Xiaoyan studied hard these nights even though she was very tired and sleepy.

Hamer had a great day yesterday. In the late afternoon, she played in a playground she hadn’t been to in a long time because we thought she had outgrown it. She ate birthday cake, bought chocolate, had dinner in a restaurant, and made a birthday wish for a present. Thanks to Grandma and Auntie.

Checked the family WeChat group. It seems hard for Mom to take Hamer outside and find the booked playground. Meanwhile, the replies were also not timely; Hamer’s auntie always doesn’t know what they are doing and where they are.

Had lunch with a coworker and talked about work and the team. I still feel a bit down today.

I tend to get lost in time when I’m checking Teams notifications during office hours. My mind keeps drifting away from the team.

I spent a lot of time watching TV this evening because the account was on hold and I didn’t want to do anything else until I watched the episode I wanted. As a result, I slept late.

It rained all day, so I bought dinner from the grocery store, and we had it again today. After dinner, we watched the gold medal match of mixed ping pong. After a two-day postponement, Xiaoyan had her English class tonight.

After lunch, I saw that the rain had stopped and went for a walk. After a while, it began pouring down harder than usual, and I had no place to hide. After waiting for several minutes under a big tree and seeing the rain get heavier, I decided to run to the office and ended up fully soaked.
